Bio: FRAN FRIEL is a Bram Stoker nominated author living in coastal New England with her husband and their band of animal master. She spends quality time with said hubby pretending they live in Maui. Residing in Connecticut, this pretending requires a vivid imagination, which brings us back to the writing.

Fran's collection, MAMA'S BOY AND OTHER DARK TALES was released by Apex Publications on July 28th. The collection is a 2008 Finalist for the Bram Stoker Award and on the Longlist for the British Fantasy Award.

In 2005, Fran joined The Horror Library as a fiction contributor, weekly columnist and blog founder/wrangler for the The HL Blog-O-Rama. Her debut novella, MAMA'S BOY, was sold-out by Insidious Publications, Summer 2006, and nominated for a Bram Stoker Award in Long Fiction. Also, you'll find Fran's "Bad Music" in the anthology, TINY TERRORS 2 from UK publisher, Hadesgate Publications.
