What monochrome rainbow
hides outside the hissing window
when headlights shine the wall,
trapezoidally drift into corners?
/
Blues slide sideways in a darkened room.
B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughan
haunt each other’s six-stringed ghosts
and baritones, nursed from John Lee Hooker’s bone.
/
What fence is shadow rattling, along
the backbeaten chord’s progression,
while fifths diminish dank matter?
/
Once, I was brainclogged.
Now I am brainwashed;
a brainwalled, dogmatic boy must cleanse
his rainbow out enemetically with blue light.
/
It all boils down to the color of bruise.
It’s the blues played on “A#” monochromatic scale.
It’s circle voice; it’s square music.
It all plays rain and falls like a gold
/
pot to piss on but never in—a promise
of the unhurried, bleak flood.

i love the way you use the various metaphors to kind of spin the viewer around the focal point of the subject under discussion; it's kind of making me think of the camera set-up they used in the matrix to allow them to spin through 360 degrees of the scene and create bullet time (hope that makes sense).
